įrom the Commands List expand All Menus scroll down to the Export section of the list and then drag and drop Export to Modelo over to the Menus list on the right and drop it in Export, which you expanded a couple moments ago. On the right side, expand File and then scroll down and expand Export. Go to the Tools menu and select Workspaces. Now, open up your Vectorworks application. You want to copy & paste the entire requests folder here. Now go back to applications, open the Vectorworks installation folder ( the first folder you opened in step 1 ) again, and right click on the actual executable Vectorworks app ( the icon which you click to open the application ), and select “Show package contents.” Then follow this path: Frameworks/amework/Versions/3.3/lib/python3.3/. Then move the “Export to Modelo.vsm” and “ExportVGX.vwlibrary” files into this folder. Open it and then open the folder Plug-ins. If in fact no one is having scale issues producing PDF files from VectorWorks than using PDF seems like it could be a very effective interim solution. The scale problems that I have had occured with the scaling options disabled in the PDF viewer which is why I specifically mentioned those settings as being an aside issue - however you bring up an important point, which is that the person printing may not be aware of those settings or forget to disable them. The issue I had with it during testing was that I wanted to have all of my landscaping objects in one class, yet distinguish between existing and new landscaping using layers so that I could for example, turn all landscaping off, yet also retain the option to gray out the existing landscaping or show only new landscaping as the case required. That could be a viable option with some adjustment. Yes I had noticed the ability to export classes and layers as PDF layers, which is very nice to say the least.
